Wearables TechCon Boasts Most Comprehensive Program and Exhibition Hall in Wearables Space

BZ Media LLC announced its robust program of 45-minuteclasses and panels, as well as two keynotes for its third annualWearables TechCon, July 18 – 20, at the San Jose Convention Center. Recognizing the wearables space is expanding beyond the traditional smartwatch, the program now offers topics that cover the Internet of Things, Augmented Reality andVirtual Reality, Manufacturing and Rapid Prototyping, Legal Essentials, Ethics and Privacy,Developer Essentials and UI/UX.
Chief Consumer Security Evangelist at Intel Security Gary Davis will keynote on the hot-button topic "Wearables: Panacea or Pandora's Box? A Security Perspective," discussing security vulnerabilities, privacy concerns and regulation issues that come with the ever-evolving wearable industry.
Forrest Brady, VP of hardware startup accelerator Highway1, will also keynote on the "Hidden Costs of Hardware." He will discuss common pitfalls and share his personal experiences with startups while drawing on his background at Highway1, where he has accelerated 67 hardware startups that have gone on to raise $76 million in venture and crowdfunding.
Other notable speakers include Nick Crocker, MyFitnessPal's Product Innovation Lead; John Feland, Founder and CEO of Argus Insights; Jenny Tong, Developer Advocate on Cloud at Google; and Jocelyn Vigreux, President of TomTom, Inc.
In addition to the program, Wearables TechCon also offers an exhibition hall that runs the gamut of companies that are OEMs to those selling SDKs or want to license hardware and software.
